欢庆在进行田野录音及民间音乐收集整理工作的过程中一直在寻找不同的元素，从他们的结构和音色中发现创作的可能性，由此对民间音乐产生了感情。无论是他的专辑还是现场表演都将会呈现出自然的民族气息与浓郁的地域色彩。
欢庆现居云南大理，以制作手工乐器、唱片为生。自发并长期地对民间音乐及民间艺人进行采集、访问。至今已收集的民间音乐种类包括：彝族、哈尼族、怒族、佤族、纳西族、傈僳族等等。自2005年起频繁活跃于中国各大摇滚、民族音乐节中。
Huan Qing has been looking for different musical elements through gathering and reorganizing folk music whose structures and tones give him new possibilities to create. The natural breath of folk music and heavy ethnic influences are present both in his recording and live performance.
He now lives in Dali, Yunnan as a hand-made instrument maker and recording artist. To date he has gathered and organized a fairly large amount of ethnic music, including music from Yi minority, Hani minority, Naxi minority and so on. He has also been present at a good number of rock/folk music festivals in China.
